Start with a conversation

Thirty minutes, no commitment, and an honest answer about whether we can help. That is genuinely all the first step is.

Who writes to us

Six kinds of people use this form

If you recognise yourself below, you are in the right place. If you do not, write anyway — the list is a guide, not a gate.

Municipalities

Something in the brede intake, inburgering or outreach is not landing with Yemeni or Arabic-speaking residents, and you want context your team can use on Monday — not a report.

NGOs & refugee support

Your begeleiders are absorbing avoidable misunderstandings, or families you need to reach are not being reached. You want the knowledge layer under work you already do well.

Schools & youth work

Parents are being read as uninterested when they are reading a different map, and you want parent evenings people actually attend.

Employers

You want access to interrupted careers rather than interrupted CVs, or a plain explanation of the communication patterns quietly costing you retention.

Researchers & journalists

You are working on a community with one peer-reviewed study to its name and you want sourced figures, or a correction to ours. Both are welcome; the second more than the first.

Community members

You want to mentor, volunteer, advise, or tell us where we have this wrong. Nothing you say is published without your separate written consent — see get involved.

Before you write

Three things worth knowing

You do not need to know what you want yet

Most useful conversations start with "something is not working and I cannot put my finger on it." That is a perfectly good opening. We would rather help you name the problem than have you arrive with a service already picked out.

We will tell you if we are the wrong partner

Sometimes the honest answer is that you need someone else — or nobody. You will get that answer free and early, rather than after a proposal. It costs us a contract and saves you a year.

Press enquiries go through the board

The foundation speaks only through foundation channels, after a communications review. That is slower than a quick quote, and deliberately so. Use the form and mark it as a press enquiry.

After you write

What actually happens next

No auto-responder, no ticket number, no drip sequence. Four steps, and you can hold us to the timing.

01

It reaches a person

Your message arrives in an inbox a human reads. It is not scored, routed or added to a list. Nobody is signed up to anything by writing to us.

Timing: immediately
02

A person replies

Usually within a few working days, written by someone who read what you actually wrote. If we are going to be slower than that, we say so rather than go quiet.

Timing: a few working days
03

A short conversation, if it is useful

Thirty minutes, in person or online, no commitment and no proposal attached. You describe what is actually happening; we mostly listen and ask.

Outcome: a shared read of the problem
04

An honest answer

Yes and here is what it would look like; no and here is why; or — genuinely often — you need someone else, and here is who. Only after that does anything become a written proposal.

Outcome: a decision you can act on

Two routes that run differently

Governance, funding or a complaint — write to governance@tharan.nl. You get an acknowledgement within seven days, and it is reviewed by a board member with no involvement in the matter.

A request about your own data — access, correction or deletion. Write to info@tharan.nl; we answer within a month as the AVG requires, and in practice much sooner. Our privacy statement sets out the full detail.

Wij duiden, wij vertegenwoordigen niet

We interpret; we do not claim to represent. If that is the kind of partner you are looking for, we would like to hear from you.
